3M™ Spring Connectors Game Day Instant Win Game and Sweepstakes Official Rules

Official Rules:

NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. PURCHASE WILL NOT ENHANCE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING.

1. HOW TO PLAY:
You may play the 3M™ Spring Connectors Instant Win Game & Sweepstakes (the "Promotion") by accessing the Sponsor's website at: www.3MConnectorSweeps.com ("Website") and following the instructions for entry. Completely fill out the registration information form as requested (including the entry code located on the inside of the promotional sticker on specially marked jugs and bags of 3M™ Spring Connectors 312, 512, T/Y+, T/R+, R/Y+, O/B+ and B/G+ or obtained by mail-in request ("Entry Code"), your name, mailing address, e-mail address, and the listed questions). Limit one entry per Entry Code. Multiple entries with the same Entry Code will be disqualified. After you have submitted the required information on the registration form, you will automatically receive one (1) entry into the Grand Prize Drawing sweepstakes. Drawing to be held from all valid entries on or about December 22, 2008. Before registration can be accepted, understanding and acceptance of the Official Rules must be acknowledged by each entrant by clicking on the "I understand and agree to the game's rules and legal terms," checkbox. After registering, you are prompted to click the "NEXT" button. After doing so, you will be brought to the entry page where upon clicking "SUBMIT" you will be instantly notified whether or not you have won an Instant Win prize. Up to six thousand one hundred and twenty-five (6,125) Instant Win prizes will be distributed at random, computer-generated winning plays over the course of the Promotional Period. If you are the player to play the Instant Win Game at one of the randomly generated winning plays, you will be an instant winner. To receive an Entry Code to play without purchase, please submit a 3 x 5 inch card with your name, address, city, state, zip code, e-mail address and daytime telephone number along with a self-addressed, stamped envelope (one envelope per Entry Code needed) to 3M Connector Sweeps, P.O. Box 2020G, Grand Rapids, MN 55745-2020. Each mail-in request must be postmarked by November 15, 2008 and received by December 1, 2008. Each mail-in request must be mailed separately. Neither Sponsor nor its agencies are responsible for illegible, lost, late, damaged, incomplete, postage due, misdirected or stolen mail requests.

2. DEADLINES AND ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
The Promotion starts at 12:00:01 AM CDT on August 1, 2008 and ends at 11:59:59 PM CDT on December 15, 2008 ("Promotional Period"). All entries must be received no later than 11:59:59 CDT on December 15, 2008. Promotion is open to all legal residents of the United States age 18 years of age and older. Employees of 3M ("Sponsor") and their affiliates, subsidiaries, agents and franchisees, advertising and promotional agencies, 3M distributors and dealers, and each of such employee's immediate family members (persons with whom they are domiciled) are not eligible to participate. All entrants must have a valid e-mail address, mailing address, and phone number. In the event of a dispute regarding the identity of the person submitting an online entry, entries will be declared made by the authorized account holder of the e-mail address submitted at the time of entry. "Authorized account holder" is defined as the natural person who is assigned to an e-mail address by an Internet access provider, online service provider, or other organization (e.g., business, educational institution, etc.) responsible for assigning e-mail addresses for the domain associated with the submitted e-mail address. Sponsor may require proof to its satisfaction of entrant's registered subscriber status. Automated entries (including but not limited to entries made using any script, macro, bot, or sweepstakes service) and facsimiles are not allowed. Void where prohibited. By participating in this Promotion, entrants agree to be bound by these Official Rules.

3. PRIZE DESCRIPTIONS AND APPROXIMATE ODDS OF WINNING

Sweepstakes Prizes:

Five (5) Grand Prizes: Five Grand Prize Winners will win a recliner, TV and $1,700 in gift cheques. Prize consists of only the items specifically listed in these Official Rules and any other expenses not specified herein as being awarded are the sole responsibility of winner. Odds of winning the Grand Prizes depend on the number of eligible entries received. Gift cheques are subject to the terms, conditions and restrictions as printed on the cheque. Grand Prize drawing to be held on or about December 22, 2008 from all valid entries. Grand Prize Winner is solely responsible for all federal, state and local taxes. ARV: $3,700 each. Total ARV of Grand Prizes: $18,500.

Instant Win Game Prizes:

First Prizes: Twenty-five (25): Team Jerseys. ARV: $55 each. Total ARV: $1,375.

Second Prizes: One hundred (100): Team cooler bags. ARV: $38 each. Total ARV: $3,800.

Third Prizes: Five hundred (500): Bubba kegs. ARV: $26 each. Total ARV: $13,000.

Fourth Prizes: Five hundred (500): Footballs. ARV: $15 each. Total ARV: $7,500.

Fifth Prizes: Five thousand (5,000): Koozies. ARV: $2 each. Total ARV: $10,000.

Odds of winning an Instant Win prize depend on the timing of your game play and are based on the number of eligible Entry Codes entered each day of the Promotional Period divided by the number of prizes available. If there are not enough eligible Entry Codes played during the Promotion Period, the unclaimed prizes will not be awarded. The total ARV for all Instant Win Game Prizes is $35,675. All federal, state, and local taxes and other expenses not specified herein are winner's responsibility. Grand Prize winners will be notified on or about December 29, 2008, via phone or U.S. mail. Grand Prize winners will be required to complete and return an Affidavit of Eligibility and Publicity Release. All forms must be returned within 10 days of notification or the Prize will be forfeited and an alternate winner will be randomly selected. No transfer or substitution of a prize is permitted, except by Sponsor, who reserves the right to substitute prizes for equal or greater value.

4. TO CLAIM AN INSTANT WIN PRIZE
Potential winners' claims to a prize are subject to verification by Sponsor. Any materials submitted become the sole property of the Sponsor and will not be returned. Verification will be sent to each Instant Win Game winner by mail and/or e-mail. If any prize correspondence (including e-mail) is returned as non-deliverable, prize may be forfeited and, at Sponsor's discretion, an alternate winner selected. ALL POTENTIAL INSTANT WIN GAME WINNERS ARE SUBJECT TO VERIFICATION BY SPONSOR OR ITS ADMINISTRATOR, WHOSE DECISIONS ARE FINAL AND BINDING. AN ENTRANT IS NOT A WINNER OF ANY PRIZE, EVEN IF THE WEBSITE SENDS INSTANT NOTIFICATION THAT THEY ARE A WINNER, UNLESS AND UNTIL ENTRANT'S ELIGIBILITY HAS BEEN VERIFIED AND THE ENTRANT HAS BEEN NOTIFIED THAT VERIFICATION IS COMPLETE. SPONSOR WILL NOT ACCEPT SCREEN SHOTS OR OTHER EVIDENCE OF WINNING IN LIEU OF ITS VALIDATION PROCESS. ANY NOTIFICATION THAT AN ENTRANT HAS WON A PRIZE THAT OCCURS AFTER THE SYSTEM HAS FAILED IS DEEMED DEFECTIVE AND IS VOID AND WILL NOT BE HONORED.

5. CONDITIONS OF PARTICIPATION
By entering and/or participating in the Promotion, participants agree (a) to indemnify and hold Sponsor, their affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising and promotion agencies and each of their respective employees, officers, directors, and agents who must be included as release parties in all releases/waivers that a winner/guest/participant may sign and are harmless from any and all liability, damages or causes of action (however named or described) with respect to or arising out of the use of prize or participation in this Promotion or any Promotional activity; (b) except where legally prohibited, winners grant (and agree to confirm that grant in writing) permission for Sponsor and those acting under its authority to use his/her name, photograph, voice and/or likeness, for advertising, trade and/or publicity purposes without additional compensation in all media now known or hereafter discovered, worldwide and on the Internet and/or World Wide Web, without notice, review or approval. Prize winners may be required to complete, sign, and return an Affidavit of Eligibility, a Liability Release, and where lawful, a Publicity Release within seven (7) days of notification. If documents are not returned on a timely basis, or if any prize notification or prize is returned as non-deliverable, or if winner is found to be ineligible or not in compliance with these Official Rules, such prize will be forfeited and, at Sponsor's discretion, awarded to an alternate winner. Taxes on prizes are solely the winner's responsibility.

6. INTERNET
Sponsor is not responsible for lost, late, mutilated or illegible entries nor for electronic transmission errors resulting in omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operations or transmission, theft or destruction or unauthorized access to or alteration of entry materials, or for technical, network, telephone equipment, electronic, computer, hardware or software malfunctions or limitations of any kind, or inaccurate transmission of or failure to receive entry information by Sponsor or presenter on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any website or any combination thereof. If for any reason the Internet portion of the program is not capable of running as planned, including infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes beyond the control of the Sponsor, which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity, or proper conduct of this Promotion, the Sponsor reserves the right at its sole discretion to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process, and to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Promotion or any part thereof. In the event the online portion of this Promotion cannot be carried out for any reason, a random drawing may be conducted to award any remaining prizes among all eligible entries received at the time of such termination, at the sole option of Sponsor. Caution: Any attempt by a participant to deliberately damage any website or undermine the legitimate operation of the game is a violation of criminal and civil laws, and should such an attempt be made, sponsor reserves the right to seek damages from any such participants to the fullest extent of the law. IN NO EVENT WILL SPONSOR, ITS AFFILIATES, SUBSIDIARIES, AND THEIR RESPECTIVE ADVERTISING OR PROMOTIONAL AGENCIES OR ANY OF THEIR RESPECTIVE OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, REPRESENTATIVES AND AGENTS, BE RESPONSIBLE OR LIABLE FOR ANY DAMAGES OR LOSSES OF ANY KIND, INCLUDING DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF PARTICIPANTS' ACCESS TO AND USE OF THE WEBSITE OR DOWNLOADING FROM AND/OR PRINTING MATERIAL FROM THE WEBSITE.

7. PRIVACY NOTICE
Any information participants provide to Sponsor will be used to communicate with the participants regarding this Promotion and otherwise as set forth in these Official Rules.
